Excellence programs

The Gordonvale State High School Summit Program is designed for high-performing students who are typically self-motivated learners and have a passion for knowledge.  The program aims to develop within students, academic talent, leadership, resilience and persistence, and in so doing, support student to reach their full potential.  The program is available to existing students or students enrolling in Year 7-9.

The baseline criteria for entry is student achievement of a B or higher grade across all 4 core subjects (English, Maths, Science and Humanities). NAPLAN results, diagnostic testing and extra-curricular engagement will also be used to determine entry where marks cannot be split.
Exemplary attendance and behaviour are also an integral requirement for entry into the SUMMIT Program.
Please be mindful that entry into SUMMIT is highly competitive and not all applicants will be successful. Supporting student well-being throughout the process is essential.

Applications are to be submitted to our school’s main office on, or prior to the due date (Friday 26th July, 2019).

All future students will still be required to complete an enrolment interview with a parent or carer in Term 3.
For further enquiries please call the main office on 4043 3222 and request to speak to Mr Todd Chatterton.
