Science is a core subject through grades 7-10. In these grades, each term a different branch of science is studied, including biology, chemistry, physics, space and geology. In grades 11 and 12, students have the opportunity to pick a science subject based on their individual interests. Science classes are a balance of theoretical and experimental lessons, with hands on activities including working with the cattle and chickens in the Agriculture plot, performing experiments in the laboratories or completing ecological investigations around the school. As well as explicit teaching, science classes also learn through inquiry based methods.
