Queensland is introducing a new QCE system starting with year 11 students in 2019.
This has significant impacts on students and schools in terms of:
·         What is taught (syllabus requirements)
·         How students are assessed (internal and external assessment)
·         How students can attain a QCE (Queensland Certificate of Education)
·         How students can go to university after year 12 (ATAR – Australian Tertiary Admission Rank)
·         Internal and External assessment in Senior
·         ATAR calculations and eligibility,
·         QCE eligibility
·         Academic misconduct – what must schools do?
·         Non-submission or late submission of assessment,
·         Access arrangements and reasonable adjustments – what can we do to support students and what can’t we do
