The Gordonvale State High School Summit Program is designed for high-performing students who are typically self-motivated learners and have a passion for knowledge. The program aims to develop within students, academic talent, leadership, resilience and persistence, and in so doing, support student to reach their full potential. The program is available to existing students or students enrolling in Year 7-9.
The focus of the Gordonvale State High School SUMMIT Program is on the academic learning areas - Mathematics, English, Humanities and Science. Students may apply to participate in the SUMMIT program for all four core subjects, or instead they may choose to apply for English and Humanities, or Science and Maths. Students combine with the remainder of the cohort for subjects in other learning areas.
Applications are now open for Year 7 for 2021. All applications (including all required documentation) are due by 3pm on Friday 31st July 2020. The application form, plus an information letter about the open day can be found using the links on the right.
The SUMMIT Open Day for students that are currently achieving at a high level and will be applying for SUMMIT for 2021 is on Thursday, 23rd July. Please contact Lyndal at firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP your student for this day.
